1) Scope

These General Terms and Conditions apply to the training, continuing education, and other services provided by the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing, represented by Jasmin Schlimm-Thierjung (hereinafter referred to as "Organizer"), as of the date of registration.

Deviating terms and conditions of the participant are not valid unless they have been confirmed in writing by the Organizer.

2) Registration, Contract Conclusion, Contract Partners

Each participant is required to inform themselves in advance about the contents and framework conditions of the training programs. All information and individual participation requirements are explained on our website (www.forestbathing-academy.com) or in the published print media. For registrations for seminars or events within special promotions, different General Terms and Conditions (AGB) may apply. Please check our website (www.forestbathing-academy.com) accordingly. In case of discrepancies between different media of the German Academy for Forest Bathing and Health, only the AGB of the website of the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing are decisive.

By sending the registration via online shop or email, the participant acknowledges the following General Terms and Conditions of the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing.

Registrations are processed in the order of receipt. The International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing reserves the right to reject registrations for a valid reason. Unless otherwise specified by event-specific regulations, registrations should be submitted as early as possible, and no later than four weeks before the start of the event.

The receipt of a registration does not constitute acceptance of the contract. The service contract is only concluded with the receipt of the participation confirmation from the organizer and is then considered legally binding.

Confirmation of registration for digital applications is usually made within 24 hours, and by mail within 3 working days. The contractual partner of the organizer is the registered participant and the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing.

If the registration for an event is made by a third party, the registering third party is considered the contractual partner.

The organizer reserves the right to cancel the training if the minimum number of participants is not met, up to 14 days before the start for in-person events and up to 7 days before the start for online events.

This also applies if the registration has already been confirmed. The organizer does not provide any package travel contract services as defined by §§ 651 a ff BGB.

Registrations for our offerings can be made using the completely filled-out registration form by mail, fax, on the website www.forestbathing-academy.com, or personally by phone.

For your email registration, the following information is required:

  • Seminar title
  • Seminar period
  • Seminar location
  • First name and last name of the participant
  • Address of the participant
  • Date of birth of the participant
  • Telephone number or email address of the participant
  • Company name and address of the billing party (if different, e.g., if the employer pays)

Participation in an offering from the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing requires a minimum age of 18 years.

The registration is considered an offer from the contracting party (customer) for a contract with the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing for participation in our training programs.

The International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing reserves the right to accept this offer after reviewing the current conditions for the planned seminar.

Registrations are processed in the order of receipt and confirmed by us in writing by post or email. You are obliged to check the personal details on the confirmation. Please specifically check your billing and registration details (such as name, address, and date of birth)! In case of errors, the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing must be informed immediately. After receiving your correction, you will receive a written confirmation by post or email. Without this confirmation, changes are considered not received.

If the contractual partner and the participant are not identical (e.g., if the employer pays for the participation of an employee), the registration must be made through the contact details of the contractual partner with a reference to the participant’s name.

In case of discrepancies between the online and print versions, only the fee stated on the website of the German Academy for Forest Bathing and Health at the time of registration is valid.

The contractual partner is obliged to ensure sufficient account coverage. Registrations from contractual partners with an existing affidavit will be subject to criminal prosecution. If a debit or transfer cannot be processed due to reasons not attributable to the German Academy for Forest Bathing and Health, the contractual partner will bear any additional costs incurred, including default interest.

Accommodation, travel, and meal costs (breakfast, dinner) as well as individual additional services are to be covered personally or settled directly with the respective hotel/transport provider and are not included in the seminar price (exceptions are marked accordingly).

To ensure proper allocation of payments, please always include the customer and invoice number with all payments. The decisive factor for a successfully and timely settled invoice amount is generally the booking date of our bank. Bank transfers are accepted as cashless payments.

4) Invoice

Upon review and acceptance of a received registration, the contractual partner will receive an invoice, which also serves as the booking confirmation.

(1)The contract becomes effective only upon receipt of the invoice (booking confirmation) by the contractual partner. If the participant takes part in any services of the German Academy for Forest Bathing and Health without having received an invoice (booking confirmation) beforehand, a valid contract is formed upon the commencement of the service. You will receive an email with the booking confirmation and invoice in the days following your registration. Please transfer the deposit amount of €100.00 upon receipt. The place will be reserved for you upon receipt of payment.

(2) With the registration and its confirmation, the deposit specified in the announcement and invoiced is due immediately and without deduction. Payment must be made by bank transfer to the account specified in the invoice.

(3) The remaining balance is due for payment without further reminder and without deduction no later than four weeks before the start of the event or by the date specified in the invoice. Payment must be made by bank transfer to the account specified in the invoice.

(4) In case of late payment, the following applies:

14 days after the due date of the invoice, default will be established according to § 288 Abs. 2 BGB. The default interest amounts to 5 percentage points above the base rate (§ 247 BGB).

(5) If the full invoice amount has not been received in the account of the German Academy for Forest Bathing and Health by the start of an event, seminar, or other service, the Academy is entitled to exclude the participant from the event until full payment is received.

(6) Discounts cannot be combined. Only one discount can be used per booking. A maximum of three discounted bookings are accepted per year.

5) Cancellation, Withdrawal, Rebooking

1) If the contractual partner is a consumer according to § 13 BGB, they are entitled to the right of withdrawal listed in the appendix to these General Terms and Conditions (AGB). In this case, the following regulations apply only after the expiration of the withdrawal period.

(2) Cancellations and date changes must be submitted in writing (email, letter).

(3) The participant may provide a substitute participant up until the last day before the seminar, who will attend the event on their behalf.

The participation requirements remain unaffected. In case of non-attendance or course withdrawal by the participant, 100% of the respective training fee is payable.

The participant may provide evidence that the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing has incurred lesser damage.

(4) If the participant withdraws from the contract up to 9 weeks before the start of the course, a processing fee of €40.00 is payable.

If the cancellation, withdrawal, or date change occurs:

  • 8 to 4 weeks before the start of the course, cancellation fees amount to 50% of the respective workshop or seminar fee.
  • 4 weeks to 14 days before the start of the course or training, 80% of the respective workshop or seminar fee is payable.
  • After this period, 100% of the respective workshop or seminar fee is payable.

If the participant chooses an alternative date up to 9 weeks before the course start, a rebooking fee of €40.00 is due. After this period, a date change is no longer possible and will be considered a cancellation.

(5) If a participant withdraws from a rescheduled date, the cancellation conditions of the original date apply.

(6) Booking for training, seminars, and other services is binding, as canceled places can only rarely be filled.

Therefore, we recommend taking out cancellation insurance for seminars.

(7) Further cancellation policies of the cooperation partners involved in the training, seminars, and other services offered by the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing will be contractually transferred to the respective registered and confirmed event participants.

(8) If the participant has made a hotel booking in writing, the respective provisions for booking, changes, and cancellations as per the guest accommodation contract of the hosting hotel or seminar house apply. The International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing generally does not act as an intermediary. Costs for accommodation and meals or any cancellation fees are solely the participant’s responsibility.

(9) Rebookings within ongoing training programs are free of charge if the following reasons apply:

  • Documented illness of the participant (submission of a medical certificate)
  • Documented prevention of participation by the employer (confirmation from the employer)
  • Death of a first-degree relative (copy of the death certificate)

For all other reasons, a fee of 50% of the originally invoiced seminar price will be charged. For training with multiple modules, the calculation basis is the proportionate price of the rescheduled module.

6) Organizational Changes, Cancellations, Force Majeure

In the event that the minimum number of participants is not reached, in case of the short-term cancellation of speakers, force majeure (such as epidemics, natural disasters, or extreme weather events), disruptions at the venue, safety-related circumstances, or official regulations that make the event impossible to carry out, or other circumstances not attributable to the organizer, the organizer reserves the right to relocate or cancel the events, either spatially and/or temporally.

The right to change or cancel the scheduled dates, venues, program/timetable, and instructors is reserved, and such changes will be announced up to 3 days before the start of the seminar. For this purpose, the participant must regularly check all communication channels provided at the time of registration (address, email, fax, voicemail at the provided phone number). The International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing is not liable or accountable for any damages resulting from incorrect contact information provided by the contractual partner.

(2) Events that have already started (e.g., training packages or modules extending over more than one calendar year) may also be canceled in exceptional cases (e.g., significant reduction in the number of participants).

(3) The organizer is entitled to propose an alternative date to the participant.

(4) There are no claims for reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs or other expenses.

7) Execution

The event will be conducted according to the published event program. Each participant will receive a certificate of participation at the end of the event. For qualified training and continuing education, the participant will receive a qualified certificate upon successful completion, detailing the scope and content of the training and continuing education.

The International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing reserves the right to change lecturers or to relocate or modify the program schedule, as well as to change the training and seminar location, provided that these changes do not fundamentally alter the event's objective.

There is no entitlement to have a specific lecturer or to hold the event at a specific location.

The aforementioned changes and the substitution of a lecturer do not entitle the participant to withdraw from the contract or to a reduction in participation fees.

Further claims by the participant, particularly for reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs, are not permitted.

8) Liability

The International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing is liable for personal and material damages only in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of the International Academy for Natural Health & Forest Bathing. There is no liability for accidents, theft, or damage of any kind. Each participant is responsible for supervising their personal belongings.
